Water Heroes, Its time for Action!

We are thrilled to announce that our school has been chosen, from among 110 schools across Europe, to participate in an innovative water management education project, as a member of the European Project ProBleu, Network of European Blue Schools (NEBS). The project is titled “Water Heroes. Time for Action!” and will be fulfilled during the upcoming school year 2024-2025. This prestigious selection is a testament to our commitment to environmental stewardship and education. 

As part of this groundbreaking project, our students will embark on a journey to become young scientists, engaging in hands-on activities that address critical issues such as water conservation, wetland protection, and water quality monitoring. These budding scientists will explore and understand the importance of sustainable water management through a series of dynamic and interactive experiences. 

Our collaboration with esteemed local institutions, including the Environmental Education Centre of Vamos, the Technical University of Crete, MYES of Agia, DEYAX, and the University of Crete, will provide our students with unparalleled opportunities to learn from experts in the field. Through excursions and experiential activities, we aim to shed light on the pressing water-related challenges our community faces and work together to propose innovative solutions.
