B class: “ Once upon… there was water!”

After sewing Blue, their own companion to the journey towards water conservation, students of B class took part in an interactive fairytale with Mrs. Panigyraki, her team as well as B class’ inspired teachers- mentors leading the way. 

The story goes like this:

 

In a world where oceans glowed like liquid sapphire and the rivers danced in the valleys like silver ribbons, there lived a young drop of water named Blue. Blue wasn’t like any other drop of water- he was curious, brave with a pure heart- as pure as the purest spring water.

 

 

Blue’s journey began on a magnificent cloud high above the Earth. One day, as the cloud wandered over a verdant forest, Blue felt a call deep inside. He knew it was time to get off and explore the world lying ahead. Blue united with the other droplets that formed a light drizzle pouring down the land.

 

He landed on a tranquil lake surrounded by vibrant lilies and frogs. He admired the splendor around, but soon he noticed something alarming. The lake got smaller and smaller and the water became blurry. Blue’s heart suffered pain and distress for all the marine creatures that call lake their home.

Determined to make a difference, Blue set off on an expedition to lakes and rivers looking for answers. On his way, he met the wise old River who spoke of the importance of clean water and the ways pollution harmed their habitat. Blue listened carefully and his determination grew stronger.

As Blue carried on his journey he faced various challenges. He stepped on contaminated water where he saw fish struggling to breathe and plants withering. But Blue never despaired. He knew that even a single drop could make a ripple and ripples can create waves of change.

One day, Bleu found himself in a bustling city. He saw people using water carelessly, unaware of its preciousness. Bleu decided to speak up. He whispered to the wind, who carried his message to the people. "Water is life», he said. "Every drop counts. Protect it, cherish it, and it will sustain you.".
 

 

 

The wind delivered the message to the people. Gradually, Blue’s message started spreading. People began realizing the worth of water conservation. They cleaned the rivers, they reduced pollution and used water wisely. Blue’s heart puffed up with pride as he watched those changes taking place.

 

 

 

 

 

His journey finally led him back to the lake he has started from. To his great pleasure, the lake was clean and full of life! The lilies blossomed intensely and frogs croaked happily. Blue now was satisfied that his efforts yielded.

Thenceforward, Blue carried on traveling all over the world spreading the news for consciousness raising regarding aquatic life. He inspired others preserve and value water, making sure that the future generations will be blessed with its beauty and its gift of life.

 

 Thus, the story of Blue, the brave water drop became a legend. His story reminded all of us that no matter how small the acts, they can make a big impact and all together we can preserve Earth’s precious gift of water.
