On Tuesday, November 6th, our Second graders walked in Armeni, next to the springs that flow into the Kiliaris River. The children learned by engaging their senses. It was a lesson through sight, hearing, and touch. With the help of the "Porizo" group, they walked and attuned themselves to the water-rich environment of the area. This in turn offered a feast for the senses, a symphony of nature's finest elements.
The children's teachers, Mrs Vera, Mrs Nia, and Miss Ioanna, became one with the children.

Smell: The air was filled with the delicate aroma of blooming flowers, the earthy scent of chestnuts and walnuts, and the fresh fragrance of aquatic plants.
Touch: The wild beauty of fallen leaves, scattered like nature's confetti, added a touch of charm. The gentle flow of water, like a soothing lullaby, whispered softly to the soul. The softness of tiny flowers, scattered across the landscape, invited a closer look, a moment of calm appreciation.
Hearing: The rustling of the wind as it danced through the leaves created a harmonious backdrop, a gentle reminder of the ever-present life that surrounds us. The songs of nature’s creatures, from the cheerful chirping of birds to the rhythmic croaking of frogs, blended into a melodic chorus. And then, there was the serenity of silence, a profound calm that nature offers, where even silence has a sound—a sound that echoes deeply within us, a sound that speaks to the heart.

Water is truly a source of life, a genuine elixir that nourishes and sustains. It fills our senses with a profound fullness, a sense that we are truly alive. It brings a deep satisfaction, a peaceful joy that comes from harmony with the natural world. It compels us to admire the Creator’s grandeur, to stand in awe of the intricate beauty and delicate balance of aquatic ecosystems.
