On Friday, November 22nd, the 6th-grade students embarked on an exciting adventure to the artificial lake of Agyia. This lake is not just a body of water; it's a vital part of our community. It provides us with water and serves as a magical wetland, teeming with life. Imagine over 130 different species of plants thriving around the lake!
During our visit, we let our imaginations soar. We used our creativity and artistic skills to capture the beauty and importance of this wetland. We drew pictures, painted scenes, and created stories that showed how special the lake of Agyia is. Through our art, we learned about the challenges these wetlands face and how we can help protect them.
But that's not all. The lake of Agyia is like a grand hotel for migratory birds. Birds traveling all the way to Africa stop here to rest and refuel. It's also a cozy winter home for birds coming from the north. Notwithstanding the local flora and fauna that enlivens the whole region.
Our visit to the lake of Agyia was not just a field trip; it was a journey into the heart of nature, where we discovered the wonders of wetlands and the incredible creatures that depend on them. Leading us on this incredible journey is the amazing team from MYES Agia. Their creativity and inspiration make every moment unforgettable.
This project is part of the European ProBleu projects "Aquatic Heroes, it’s time for action" and eTwinning cooperation in the French language course, See the project heere.
