Creative minds.. sustainable future

 

On Monday, November 18th, the 5th graders embarked on an exciting adventure to the Micro Hydroelectric Station (MYES) of Agia. This visit was not just a field trip, but a journey into the world of engineering and science, where their imaginations and creativity took flight. Guided by the knowledgeable Mr. Afentakis and using the innovative STEM approach, the students engaged in hands-on activities that brought their learning to life.

 

 

With enthusiasm and curiosity, they constructed amazing engineering projects such as wind turbines, tornado models, and water turbines. Through these activities, they gained a deeper understanding of the powerful forces of nature and how humans can harness these forces to protect our precious environment, especially water.

The STEM approach proved to be incredibly beneficial, as it tapped into the children's natural ability to explore their world and come up with innovative solutions. This experience not only enhanced their engineering and science skills but also inspired them to think creatively and critically about the world around them.

The day was filled with excitement, discovery, and a sense of accomplishment as the students realized the impact they could have on the environment. Their projects showcased the greatness of the human mind and the potential to make a positive difference in the world.
