Earth meets water, a world bursting with life! Guided by the inspiring theatre teacher Mrs Marina Panigirakis and under the guidance of their teachers, Mrs Vera and Mrs Nia, they experienced an adventure in "The Birds’ Land" on the shores of the lake of Agia. This hiding place of colour and life was seen by the children in the beautiful lake.
It is as if the birds have their own special kingdom, a "Bird Country" with tall grasses, colourful flowers and hidden ponds. They saw fluffy ducks rowing, cute herons chasing fish and tiny frogs hopping among the reeds.
Wetlands are home not only to birds, but to so many amazing creatures, all living together in harmony, like the chorus of birds in a play, singing their own wild songs.
The young explorers, only seven years old, stepped onto the soft soil of the wetland, their eyes wide with wonder. "This is our land!" the birds seemed to cry, just like in Aristophanes' “The Birds”, where they dreamed of a city in the sky, untouched by humans.
But here, in the real world, people threaten these beautiful places. The children understood that they have a duty. With careful steps and open hearts, they promised to protect this magical place, to ensure that birds could always call the wetland home. For the land belongs not only to humans, but to every creature that flies and sings.
